Gay Mail Friend! is a zine subscription service run by me, Sarah Evenson. Once a month, subscribers receive a cut-and-fold zine in their mailbox, either by me or by one of my cool gay friends… you never know! It is available on a sliding scale of $1 to $30 per month. A limited number of subscriptions are available for free. (If you want one, just email me and I’ll make it happen, no questions asked.)
Please note: Long time fans of my work may receive a zine they already own (give it to a friend!) but Gay Mail Friend! will never repeat featured zines.
Gay Mail Friend! was inspired by my friendship with my beloved Peter. (He is a gay male.) Peter travels extensively for work and has sent me postcards, mail, zines, and gifts from all over the world. He feels very present in my life, even when he is far away. My friendship with Peter taught me that distance is not a barrier to love. I want to express that truth in my art practice.
